Gotta be quick, off out to legally watch my huge bonfire annoy the neighbours and set off a ton of fireworks to disturb every pet within 5 square miles….

Only kidding…November 5th here in the UK, as I pointed out last year is “Bonfire Night”…or more correctly called “Guy Fawkes Night” as people up and down the country will be burning effigies of the traitorous Guy Fawkes who had it coming to him as he was caught trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London ..oh…many centuries ago (think it was something like in 1605?…but we never forget…heh heh)

He was tortured horribly and put to death – of course, nowadays in our namby pamby overly zealous PC state, he’d get off on Europe’s much abused Human Rights Laws which our country has embraced fully and his lawyers would argue he was doing us all a favour from our conniving no good cheating politicians (actually, they’d have a point…oh wait)

Anyway, waffling, it’s a giggle, an excuse to watch organised events, or not, but in the “You couldn’t make it up crap of today” in my home county of Devon, the PC Council beards have stopped a group from having a bonfire as there aren’t enough people from the council to “police” it so the club are having a virtual Bonfire celebration in definace.
