Well, we somehow all made it through the doom and gloom merchants usually rubbish predictions of Armageddon (financial, 4 horses of the Apocalypse or just old fashioned raining hot molten lava and sulphur) and of course here in the UK we had some momentous triumphs with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Wedding and the Olympics… which was just as well as we suffered the wettest year on record with depressing rain and floods – as a good sign, this year has been rather normal, some bright sunshine, blue skies and… no rain by the end of day 2 (yet!) I am rather pleased, I never take up any resolutions, I know that this year will be rather difficult for me (I haven’t even done my tax return yet for goodness sake and that has to be filed by the end of the month… and there’s the awful prospect of my mortgage renewal at some point!) On the spanky side, there’s some brilliant new movies from us English producers and here’s a few you can start to see already, I really think us Brits are setting a great standard… please see for yourselves!

I’m counting down the day(s) and hours until I finally get on that plane and head off to Vegas once more… as I said before I’m extending the trip to Los Angeles too, which I’m rather excited about seeing as it is my first time to this massive metropolis… and I’m sure the weather will be kind too, it can’t be any worse than what I have been enduring here in the south west of Britain recently… just take a look (below) at what happened to my beloved hometown’s most famous landmark on the world heritage site of Plymouth Hoe… damned winds… that lighthouse had stood unscathed for generations! OK, it was photoshopped… but I did think it was a giggle from the guy that made the image… the lighthouse remains as solid and dependable as ever! 2014 is turning out to be a rather weird year so far, and it is frightening that the month of February is just about into its third week… where the hell has all this time flown since I remember ushering in the new year… they do say that the older you get, time seems to pass faster, which is rather mean, being that we are all mortal and it feels like we are heading towards our demise that much quicker… which is why we should all embrace #YOLO in my opinion… if we do indeed only live once, then why hang around putting up with something or watching the world go by and living for a 100 years when instead you can burn that much more brightly and do so much more in, say… 50 or 60 years of your life.

I can’t remember who remarked on that, but it is true. Well, it’s an eventful day here back in my native southwest… another terrible night with storms and now the largest City in the (proper) south west, Plymouth, along with the beautiful counties and Devon & Cornwall now don’t have a mainline rail network connecting it to the rest of the country… we already feel isolated and shunned at the best of times, but last night’s shitty weather had ripped up the mainline tracks at Dawlish in East Devon… one of the prettiest seaside resorts and what is actually one of the most pleasant parts of a rail journey as it passes right by the sea… well, nature had the last laugh yet again as the sea ripped apart the man made defences all over the southwest coastlines, including Dawlish… and now the track just hangs there in shame! Good job I shall be driving up to Heathrow in a few weeks, I had been thinking about taking the train, but our public transport and networks are so utterly disinvested in that I wouldn’t dare plan anything as important as meeting up with Sarah and have central Govt piss me about because it doesn’t concern them as it’s nowhere near London! Let it Snow… Let it Snow!

I wanted to write a blog post after a couple of stressful days in my personal life… I have finally left “Er Indoors” and it was quite upsetting this morning when I did go finally, it’s not something I wish to repeat – EVER! Yesterday was even worse, packing what was left of my gear sorting out stuff to take/throw away in front of her, partly my fault for not doing it sooner or whilst she was away on Friday… and have you ever had to pack in front of someone you had lived with for 14 years? OMG… I had just hoped she would go out and leave me to get on with it but she stayed and watched, it was horrendous! So I left this morning withÂ a very full carload of my remaining stuff which I had hoped the neighbours did not see for her or my embarrassment… though I suspect the curtains were twitching furiously from the nosey one opposite that needs a damned good spanking, but I was past caring. I have got you a cross section of spanking and non spanking related websites where some girls, as you’ll see, have worked across. These are all fetishes of mine that I dig, so I hope you don’t mind that I’m being a little self indulgent… I mean, if I can’t be a little indulgent on my own blog, where can I be, eh? Â We have had yet more rains and floods of biblical proportions in the south west making it a miserable winter for those that currently live near to where I am at the moment… of course, I’m not even sure the main roads are passable to Plymouth (100 miles away) which is even further south west (ok, I’m kidding, they are…) but you’d be forgiven for thinking they weren’t as our Environment Agency bods twiddle their thumbs and do fuck all to help those in need of real help and heartache… sorry to harp on, I didn’t mean to rant, those in drier climes and big city slickers will no doubt giggle at the misfortune of those stuck here… but someone has to look after the land…Â So in the event I do discover once again that the earth is not flat, ships and planes will not fly off the edge of the world and that Columbus was correct and discovered the new Lands… then I hope to get a few weeks away from the damp, grey and rain of our crappy Winter here in England. Near to where I live (for now… I’m moving back to Plymouth, as I’ve said) is the Somerset Levels, I think the giveaway in this where there is a continual risk of severe flooding is the word “Levels” – it’s finally been on the national media here as the scale of the disaster is unprecedented, as usual, anything south west in the UK is deemed to be the equivalent of the end of the world and not caring a joy about – pity… as when it isn’t raining, it’s easily the most beautiful part of Britain with magnificent coastlines, beaches and scenery not found anywhere else in the world.
