Grand National Weekend (oh and here’s more spanking!)

Ah, the Gee-Gees – Horse racing, the sport of men and kings – I must admit I do like a little bet every now and then, and I actually refrained from mentioning anything about the recent Cheltenham Gold Cup, but this race in England is one of the biggest in the world and still the toughest for any horse.

So tommorow at Aintree Racecourse the 2010 Grand National takes place, I would dearly love to be there in person, you may hate, be disinterested, or not care about horse racing but being there withthe crowd is an exhilerating experience. It’s a steeple chase! This race is tough, something like 30 fences over 4 miles. Horses can die, the Becher’s Brook fence is the infamous one, if you fall here…anything can happen!  Just take a look at how high last years’s winner “Mon Mome” in with jockey Liam Treadwell in green.

OK, I’m getting moist at the prospect of this race, I never divulge my tips, but I will be wagering on a horse (each way). However, it’s a lottery with those fences, anything can happen. Do I sound excited? LOL

There’s a brand new movie which has been out this week at SpankedSchoolgirl and seeing both Lottie and Jodie in this brought back all the memories of that day when it was filmed in January. I’m ill, I’m not feeling well, oh…did I say I’m not my usual tip top self? On top of that, as my nose dribbles onto my keyboard (euwwww!) I saw a really disturbing DVD last night (4th Kind) which is about supposed alien abduction accounts from the town of Nome in Alaska (I’m guessing the tourist council of Nome did NOT fully endorse this movie late last year! LOL) Anyway, as I was alone, in my rural location, I had to admit to being a little freaked myself, feeling vulnerable. There’s an account of an owl, and an evil looking owl at that, that preceded abductees accounts before they were taken (in pure terror I might add) they say the owl watches them through the window, it can be there for an age, then it’s inside then it smiles, and they then know it’s not an owl etc etc (you never get to see the aliens that follow after this event but they get inside your head and they utterly terrifying, sending those that recount it under hypnosis close to insane as the repressed memories are brought back.)
