Anyway, I won’t bore you with more info (Google cam let you know if you’re really that interested) & after he & his co conspirators execution the following year in 1606 Parliament agreed to make 5th November a day of public thanksgiving and ever since then the day has been celebrated with fireworks and bonfires (usually placing an effigy of Guy Fawkes on the top of the bonfire!)
