Spanking Updates this weekend

Hi everyone, I haven’t time to write a detailed post at the moment, it hasn’t been long since I helped host the awesome new Houston based Lone Star Spanking Party which was a massive success with many new people attending a national party and loving it… with Houston being the 4th largest city in the USA, it was only fair it had it’s own national party, finally. Now Texas has 2 great national party events (the other in Dallas) … as they say, everything in Texas is bigger and better! I spent today geeking out at the Houston Space Center, it was awesome. Post Election Spankings

Well, that was interesting and unforeseen, though analysts are now working out the “Scottish factor” in how it all went so horribly wrong for a couple of major player parties and better for others… but at the midst of it all, Scotland in the UK elections was pivotal to it all. I don’t expect non Brits to fully grasp this or be interested, so again, go to SPANKING STARTS HERE a little below. For the rest of you… here goes: The party I voted for got annihilated in the elections, losing heavily to the Scots in the north and the Conservatives (Tories) throughout England in the south and their heartlands in the south west. the Lib Dems knew it wouldn’t be good (smaller parties that help form coalitions know they will lose badly sometimes) so they were prepared for losses… but I appreciate they did it for the good of the country way back in 2010 when the world seemed a scary uncertain place as a Brit then. It hasn’t been easy, living with Austerity, but I do believe the country got better (considering the alternatives) and didn’t end up like Greece or Spain within Europe which would have been disastrous.

It has been an emotional election, something I doubt Americans or Europeans are even aware or care about! The Scots will be a noisy but largely ineffectual presence in Westminster but they will get more concessions as promised so it will be interesting but as for more instability? – Game over: I can rest a little easier, I suppose. My opinion on the matter no longer counts, the real awful threat I and many had feared has not come to fruition and it would appear this is one reason why the reds of Labour fared so badly in the south and the crucial marginal seats as people chose to stick with the Blue side of the political spectrum whilst punishing the Lib Dems for siding with the Tories in the first place (we all got to have scapegoats, right?) Like it or not, those on the left usually bleat far more, this is democracy in action. Swords have come out and leaders of many opposition parties have fallen on them… we move on. Okay, so I am writing more gibberish than normal, forgive me, I’ve had a trying day!!!

aaaaaand… at the risk of losing the remaining Scottish readership – I was joking about your precious (or is that dangerous?) Nicola Sturgeon! I know you lot can take a joke. You deep fry Mars Bars in batter and wonder why your obesity rates are the highest in Europe? Don’t get me started on your football (soccer) teams which are far worse than the (admittedly piss poor) English ones when they play in Europe. To even it up, it’s like barmy UKIP’s leader, Nigel Farage, treated like “Billy No Mates” by the other opposition leaders in the recent debate (see below) – I am just trying to balance it up… unlike the Scottish Rugby team, holding the “Wooden Spoon” – and so on (I’ll stop!)

As I start to write today’s update, the exciting news that the Rosetta mission probe, Philae has (it appears) successfully landed on the Comet P67. Why is this amazing news? Sadly, this is the last week before the official start of the mind numbingly mundane British Winter(time) becomes official as the clocks go back an hour on Sunday, making it stupidly darker early evening… just as my front left dipped headlight gave up yesterday too… typical! Most importantly: Do not believe the crap in the Daily Mail (and probably Fox in America) or other newspapers/news sources with their scare mongering, this virus is not likely to mutate, fortunately. Ebola is similar to the AIDS and Hepatitus viruses, these are only transmitted via bodily fluids. Unfortunately that means any sweat, tears, saliva, blood, urine and such as well as the obvious one like having unprotected sex will put you at severe risk with anyone infected and it has a long incubation (up to 21 days!!!). I’m not sure if that means that bumping into someone sweating and getting it on your skin would mean that the virus would permeate through… I think it does… as that poor nurse in Spain right now had protection but not the full bio level 4 protection she should have had dealing with Ebola victims. Air travel remains the biggest threat right now… so my advice is if you have to travel… do not brush against anyone and avoid sweaty, tearful people who spit a lot (ahem! sounds like me, lol) & you would NOT have unprotected sex or share a drink with these strangers… so I reckon you should be okay (for now!)
You can bet every Western, Asian, Chinese and Russian laboratories are working flat out to find a solution to this in the unlikely event if it was to ever become airborne or continue to spread. In that case, “The Apocalypse” could turn up in the form of a terrible virus after all… Â *anyone read Stephen King’s (very long) end of the world novel, “The Stand”? It could become something like that!

This is a double debut as this is the first thing featuring Jessica West, or Miss Jessica, whichever SHE prefers! She may be small but crossing her is distinctly unwise! Starting off the week in style

This isn’t something I often do… talk about purchases of furniture I have etc… but for some strange reason, I had never actually bought a bed before and thought that they were cheap things. I’ve seen dozens of ads on TV and in magazines and never really thought about them despite the fact we all spend a HUGE amount of our lives in or on one! I suppose I have been in the position of always having someone else do this for me. So when I recently decided to upgrade my bed, and also get rid of the other one as it was old and probably crawling with (deadly to me) dustmites, allergens and such… I thought I’d start looking online and go to a few showrooms to test them out. OMG! In general, how expensive are new beds? they are Â SOOOOO expensive! The thought of buying a second hand one defeats the object and makes me feel a little queazy, so it had to be new and I wanted a new bed frame too… (I want to impress Sarah when she comes over in January, and also not suffer any more night time symptoms of bedtime asthma) which so far since I have been back in the UK, with new meds, is doing well and seems under some sort of control.
Mattresses are the thing that are most important and costly, I found out… I had so many options, latex filled (oo-er!) or memory foam which helped guard against those pesky dustmites, pocket springs and open springs… I went though all the options and even saw there were combinations until I got myself a memory foam over pocket spring “hypo allergenic” mattress (at great cost I might add!) I had tested out a few and got this one online, it arrives tomorrow 🙂
Like wise with the bed frame, options and styles were unlimited and last night I realized I hadn’t ordered one to go with the new fangled mattress I had bought, so spent… (drum roll) – 3 hours, yes…. 3 whole long boring hours or more deciding on what bloody bed frame to get!!! I need to get a life, I need to get you some impressive spanking updates for making you read that guff, don’t I? OK… so here goes! I promise not to talk about the damned bed again. However, I may bore you with another purchase I made this morning, my new venetian wooden slat blinds that are going to look AWESOME in the bedroom… but again… you don’t really want to know this, do you?
