I never do, coming from a family with a strong military tradition (I wanted to become a fighter pilot when I was younger until I failed the medical because I suffered from hayfever very badly then… oops!) and hailing from one of the UK’s primary military ports, the city of Plymouth, it’s hard not to know someone or some event that hasn’t shaped the place I grew up in from the near wipe out of blanket bombing of the Blitz in WW2 (and the shocking 1950s rebuild of the center from what was once a beautiful area with character and history). I’ve known loved ones lose their lives whilst serving our country since then too. I now have only one nephew currently serving in the Royal Navy, so I’m sorry if this is a little indulgent but this is to my family, and the other families who have loved ones currently on tour in the Armed Forces and to those that lost their lives in whatever conflict including the 2 world wars – for those who died that we may express our freedoms… I will be remembering the fallen on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (GMT) in a 2 minute silent vigil on what is known as armistice (or Remembrance) Day. Â
Before I start today, I’m feeling a little low, why? Here in the UK, we realize that our country is virtually bankrupt and we are going to suffer, work longer til we drop for less and basically accept that huge cuts in welfare, jobs and the armed forces (the Royal Navy will have no working aircraft carrier and the fleet further reduced – it’s a disgrace but as a nation we are screwed if we don’t cut something and God knows why our little army is losing soldiers in Afghanistan whilst the rest of Europe hide behind us instead of supporting us and the world’s largest military power, the USA, that can, in some way, afford our losses, if that doesn’t sound too insensitive as any life lost is precious and a waste!) but getting back to the fact “Great” Britain is nearly $2 Trillion in debt – we will find a way to solve this, it’s not nice but our govt have a plan from the tossers in the previous administration and the disgusting banking chaos – *climbs onto soapbox*
so what do the French do when their 35 hour cushy week and generous but totally unsustainable pension rights are brought into question the last few days? They fucking riot and go on a burning spree – I don’t expect to have many French readers, but fucking hell – WAKE THE FUCK UP, FRENCH PEOPLE! Your country is more messed up economically than ours… sigh, soap box rant over, I lived in France for 13 years so am well aware of their “working” culture, anyway… as I realize that I have virtually no pension and will probably die impoverished, here is my latest round of updates and the first, actually goes as a credit to Chross at his excellent blog (for some reason he has never replied to any of my mails on the Hotmail address he had advertised but I’m happy to link to his site and show this as it’s something I can totally identify with).

Number 1: Please listen to this radio interview held last night on Britain’s TalkSport (at 10pm, it’s a regular chat show) To be brief: It concerns the disgusting Facebook Tribute page set up of killer Raoul Moat who shot himself last week when confronted by the police after a week long manhunt – to those outside of the UK, this chap, freshly released from prison, went into hiding after shooting his ex partner in the stomach (so she could never wear a bikini, apparently). Then he callously killed her new lover with 3 execution shots to the head and the attempted murder of a policeman (who is now blinded in both eyes for life). Not to mention the huge cost to the Taxpayer and a small isolated town gripped in fear by this maniac on the loose….anyway, Siobahn O’Dowd, clearly a retard, decided it would be a “bit of a laugh” to set up the tribute page calling him a legend! The image in the Youtube clip below is not of this woman, however, it made me smile as she probably looks like that! Seriously, well done to Ian Collins, an excellent radio interviewer who has a cult listening audience, of which I am one! Well done, Sir! (the woman has an uneducated, I’d say, North Yorkshire accent, so it may be difficult for those outside the UK to understand her, God knows I had difficulty listening to her inane replies but it is frighteningly addictive – please give it a go…this is what we have to put up with the dregs of our society in this country!
Give me strength! & my 2nd point is the way our immigration and our ridiculous asylum system is milked dry….excuse me, why should a Somali family who have 6 or 7 kids be allowed to move into a £2M house in one of London’s swankiest locations, Notting Hill? Who the hell authorised this for the hard pressed local taxpayers to foot the bill of £2000 per week rent (incidentally the rent was doubled up to the max £2K that can be charged when the owning company realised the council were going to pay, this is disgraceful racketeering!) This Somali chap moaned that the previous place his family stayed at was in a poorer area with less amenities!!! Well, it’s hardly Mogadishu, sir…I’m sure the residents of Brent in north London are glad a smirking “snob” like yourself has now gone and they don’t have to fork out keeping him in that property which was costing their council £900 a week! What has he given to the local taxpayers of these boroughs of London, let alone the UK since he lost his Bus Conductor’s job 18 month’s ago? Stories like this, though sensationalist, make my blood boil. (I guess that’s the point, eh?)

On a chilly mid-November Monday in 2009, a group of pretty girl students were publicly spanked by three ‘teachers’ in front of the Ministry of Education in Kiev (Ukraine).
